The Symphony Orchestra "Globalis"The symphony orchestra "Globalis" traces its history back to the year 2000 when the orchestra consisted of the first-class musicians only who received their musical education in the conservatories of Moscow, St.Petersburg, Kiev, Ekaterburg and also in the Russian Academy named after the Gnesins and worked in the best bands of the country at that period of time. From the very beginning of its existance the orchestra "Globalis" began to cooperate with the famous Japan sound-recording company "TOEI Music Corporation". At the suggestion of the firm the orchestra recorded much music beginning from classical music and ending with sound tracks and music to films, serials, cartoons, advertising reels and computer games. Among discs issued you could find anthology of the Russian ballet ("Swan lake", "Nutcracker", "Don Kikhot", "Shopeniana", "Pa dede from ballets"), "Seasons" by P.I.Chaykovskiy, "Waltzes", sound-tracks composed by such Japan composers as Michiru Osima (to famous Japan film "Maphia's wives"), Koaru Vada (to cartoon "Mlad Kindayti"), Tomoki Khasegava (to computer game "History of the three counties"), Reydziro Koroku (to computer game "Fight") and sound-tracks to cartoons "Alchemists-1" and "Alchemists-2" and many others. Moreover, "Globalis" recorded music to widely-known Japan film "Godzilla", the premiere of which was held in Tokio. In spring 2005 the orchestra performed in the final concert devoted to the Days of Russia on the world exhibition "World Expo-2005" jointly with the orchestra and ballet of the Bolshoi Theater and chorus named after Pyatnitskiy. Japanese composers and agents of sound-recording companies say that they cooperate with the orchestra "Globalis" with big pleasure because it may record music of any level of complexity and genre with high professionalism and quality. It is necessary to mention that many famous modern composers such as A.Shnitke, R.Baugartner, A.Rosenblatt, A.El-Masri offer the orchestra to be the first to perform their compositions. "Globalis" has become the first orchestra to perform the composition by Alan Hovhaness "Concert for two pianos with orchestra" together with one of the best pianists in the world Martin Berkofsky which was performed in the Concert Hall named after P.I.Chaykovskiy. Sergey Pobedov (the USA), a well-known pianist and Atakan Sari, a rising star of classical music also took part in that grand concert. In April 2005 a disc with this concert was recorded in London. In 2004 at the suggestion of Klara Luchko, the President of the Culture Centre "Slava", the symphony orchestra "Globalis" participated in the concert devoted to 145th anniversary of the Russian Musical Society. The celebrations were held in the Bolshoi Hall of the Conservatory. In autumn 2004 Sarah Brightman, a famous singer, offered the soloists of the orchestra "Globalis" to accompany her during the concert in Moscow within the frames of the world tour "Harem". The touring activity of the orchestra is rather miscellaneous: the symphony orchestra "Globalis" gave performances on tours in Malta, China, Japan etc. In one word the orchestra "Globalis" is considered to be one of the most professional and important bands in Russia for today and its musicians are sure that they will have a lot of interesting and creative work in the future. |
